IHA World Congress - Advancing Sustainable Hydropower 21-24 May 2013 Sarawak, Malaysia/ October 15, 2013

In May 2013, the International Hydropower Association (IHA) held it's fourth World Congress in Kuching, Malaysia. With more than 500 high-level participants from 60 countries. The IHA World Congress 2013 was the most important gathering of hydropower decision-makers to date.

William Amuna , CEO from the Ghana Grid company said" This is an excellent Congress. There has been a lot of interaction between delegates and the session on the Protocol and the CEO roundtable was particularly good".

Inspecteam Hydro took part in the conference and in the technical exhibition. We presented our company and our quality inspection and services to major Hydropower Utilities, Consultants, Contractors and International Electromechanical Suppliers. Good meetings with Sarawak Energy, EDF, SMEC, SALINI, Ministry of Energy and Water from Mali, EVN from Vietnam, CIE main utility from Ivory Coast and Jindal Power from India.

The next IHA World Congress will take place in China in 2015.

Viennahydro 2012, 21-23 November, organised by TU Wien. 17th International Seminar on Powerplants. / November 22, 2012

The main topic of this year seminar was "Pumped Storage in the Context of Renewable Energy Supply". A very interesting workshop took place and a delegation from Tribhuvan Univerity, Kathmandu, Nepal presented "An overview of the Current Energy Scenario of Nepal".
Topics also included presentations on design and numerical calculation of hydraulic components, small hydro, environmental and sustainability aspects...

350 International delegates and 30 exhibiting companies participated at Viennahydro 2012.
INSPECTEAM Hydro also had a stand in the exhibition and was promoting its services and expertise to the participants.

International Energy Week (IEW), Kuching, Malaysia, 16-17 October 2012 / October 20, 2012

80 per cent hydro power by 2020 was the message of Sarawak’s Chief Minister Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud, at the launch of International Energy Conference 2012 (IEC 2012).

Richard Taylor from the International Hydropower Association (IHA) presented a paper on "Strategies for Sustainable Hydropower Development in Asia".

Gael Bozec from INSPECTEAM Hydro took part in the conference and exhibition International Energy Week (IEW2012) organised by AMB Exhibitions. More than 350 delegates participated at the conference organised by CONFEXHUB and the exhibition was attended by 3231 visitors during the two days event. INSPECTEAM Hydro had some meetings with IMPSA, SEB, TNB Hydro, FARAB ...
